Canva iPad App Along with the addition of the Canva Design button this month, the Australian graphic design platform has recently launched its iPad app version, the most requested feature to date. The app utilizes a drag-and-drop design interface with a library of millions of stock images, illustrations, backgrounds and fonts which makes designing graphics fast and easy. Getty Introduces Stream App Stock photography agency Getty Images has published an app for image consumers called “Stream”, where they can view curated streams of images published through their services. The app is available for iOS 8 and makes use of the new features of iPhone and iPad. Stream app can be used to view, search and share images to other consumers. The EyeEm Awards were celebrated with a two day Festival earlier in September. The mobile image sharing community honored a 15 year old Belgian photographer for his stunning portrait photography with the overall “Photographer of the Year” award. EyeEm had announced their first Award celebration in spring, and more than 100,000 images from 15,000 photographers in over 150 countries were submitted in ten categories. Microstock agency Shutterstock has published a new App aimed on contributors. The app is available on the iTunes App Store as well as on the Google PlayStore for Android. The app integrates perfectly with the web interface for contributors to Shutterstock: Uploading, keywording and categorization of new images can be done through either of the channels or combined – upload images through your smart phone and keyword them later through the web interface for example. Microstock analytics platform StockPerformer has added a new feature: Cross agency collections. The new feature was announced last week in a blog post last week. With the new functionality, the analytics software automatically connects collections across the different agencies: For a example, a user could create a new collection “Shoot Model A” with images from Shutterstock, switch to the Fotolia tab and add the same images from the same image to that collection.
