dreamstime-logoDreamstime, one of the top 10 microstock agencies, is building a new audio clips library, and since this week they're open for submissions.

The new audio collection will be available for both on-demand and subscription based purchases in the following months.

This addition is aimed at providing more services for customers of their stock footage library whom will now also find audio content to complete their projects.

High Quality Clips in a Variety of Styles and Themes

dreamstime-audioAudio clips submission has been enabled in Dreamstime this Monday. And the new audio section will be available to purchase once they've built up quantity and quality for the collection.

The content submitted is being classified by categories including instrumental, style, theme and sound effects, with more specific subcategories to narrow search options.

Their audio file requirements are based in high quality standards, and they do not accept MP3 submissions although they do offer MP3 conversions for their clients. They also say they've beat the competition when it comes to audio quality, assuring they will only provide high resolution, studio-quality clips.

When released in the following months, the audio clips will be available to purchase with both credit packages and subscriptions.

    Joining the Expansion into Audio

With this new library Dreamstime joins to some of the top microstock agencies that already expanded into audio. The first in adding audio to their offer was iStock, whom debuted their audio library in 2008. Previous to be acquired by Adobe, Fotolia invested in royalty free audio specialist company AudioMicro. Shutterstock launched their audio library in 2014, and last year they boosted their foothold in the field with the acquisition of audio content specialist PremiumBeat.
