    CEPIC 2011 – New Media Conference 2

    2
By Amos Struck on January 17, 2011 Microstock News

The second edition of the New Media Conference will take place on Saturday, 21st May 2011.

CEPIC welcomes Marco Oonk, the founder and editor of the well known industry blog Fast Media Magazine, to head up this exciting and cutting edge conference this year.

In a time where Facebook introduces facial recognition to tag images, and magazines come to ipad, while Microstock introduces a reader that creates visual albums from web content, and Google is seemingly everywhere it’s easy to see how ‘new media’ are becoming mainstream ever faster. More applications for imagery provide enormous opportunities for businesses that are at the heart of the picture industry.

    CEPIC new media conference 2 - 2011

In this world of fast moving media goods businesses have an opportunity, and responsibility, to adapt rapidly and take a leadership position.

We will build on a very successful New Media conference in Dublin 2010. In the Istanbul edition we will be looking at ways to connect to a fast growing (and moving) group of picture buyers that publish, consume and share pictures. Speakers from other industries and experts from within will share what they have done to connect to their audience and how these connections are making them money. Attendants will be given ideas, as well as practical tools that can be used to adapt businesses for the future.

Marco Oonk says: “Preparations have started for the 2011 CEPIC Congress in Istanbul. I’m proud to be part of the event by moderating the follow up to the successful 2010 New Media day. It’s still early but the concept of this second edition is taking shape quickly and we are committed to build on the experience of Dublin and give real value to attendees on this special day full of inspirational speakers and expert panel. At the biggest conference for the picture industry in the world we will bring together the latest ideas and tactics that will help keep the industry moving forward. We look forward to your attendance at the Istanbul conference and hope to see you again at this great day of debate and learning.“
