Depositphotos reaches 8 million high-quality images, and introduces brand-new lightbox functionality

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, June 21, 2012 – Depositphotos, the fastest growing microstock agency in the world, surpassed the 8 million image milestone. And in addition to reaching new heights, Depositphotos unveiled brand-new lightbox operating features.

vadim nekhaiAmong the authors who helped Depositphotos’ library grow by another million images are such world-renowned photographers as WaveBreakMedia, Pressmaster, Life on White, PHB.CZ and Nagib.

“High quality images, variety and freshness of presented content is what our clients value the most,” says Vadim Nekhai, Chief Marketing Officer of Depositphotos. “And this is the main reason why we spend so much time trying to attract the most professional contributors from around the world.”

Along with the addition of its 8 millionth image, Depositphotos introduced a fundamentally new lightbox system, making it possible for users to arrange favorite files and schedule content downloads.

Igor Kaliuzhnyi“The majority of our customers have to browse through large amounts of stock content on a daily basis. The goal of the Depositphotos development team is to save their precious time and make the process of finding and saving the right images as easy and intelligent as possible. Today we’re introducing brand new lightbox operating features that will allow clients to organize favorite files in the way that makes future purchases effortless,” states Igor Kaliuzhnyi, Depositphotos’ Chief Operating Officer. “These features have been in the process of design and testing for a long time. Now publishers, design studios, media agencies, freelancers and many other corporate and private clients can significantly reduce the effort required to search and store stock content. We hope to get positive feedback and attract more new clients by implementing these changes. The core of this system is a very advanced file manager. Now customers can add their favorite files, sort them into folders, sort them within same folder, add individual files or entire folders to their shopping cart, delete files and folders, send a selection of files by e-mail to colleagues, and more. And we did all this while still keeping the interface compact and maximally user-friendly.”
