    Microstock Japan Relief Funds

    0
By Amos Struck on March 23, 2011 Microstock News

I'd like to underline a couple of campaigns for Japan launched by microstock agencies, iStockphoto and 123RF.

    iStock Cares™ Donations - Japan

iStock Cares™ Donations – Help Support Japan

“As the road to recovery begins in Japan, our hearts go out to the hundreds of thousands of people impacted by the catastrophic events.

Help with the relief efforts by donating to the iStock Cares™ Japan Relief Fund.

The fund is composed of three charities, all of which are now on the ground in Japan: Doctors without Borders, Save the Children (Japan Earthquake Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund) and MercyCorps (via their partner charity, Peace Winds Japan).

Donate below and iStock will match your donation dollar for dollar, up to a total match of $25,000.”  Read full announcement here: http://www.istockphoto.com/donation.php

    123RFCares Tsunami Relief Efforts

“… We have set up a special account called “123RFCares”, with the aid of our team of designers and specially invited 123RF Contributors. We have populated this portfolio with images exclusively donated for a worthy cause.

When you download any image from this account, you will be contributing towards the relief effort. All commissions that this account receives will go to the Hong Kong Red Cross, particularly for the Tsunami Relief Efforts in Japan. At 123RF, we pledge to match the commissions dollar for dollar in aid of this noble humanitarian cause. The proceeds will then be wired to the Hong Kong Red Cross on a monthly basis until April 10, 2011. Thereafter, plans are also underway to extend similar campaigns in aid of other humanitarian causes in the future…”. Read full announcement here http://www.123rf.com/blog/blog.php?idblog=b1000179
