Photographer’s Frustration and a Path for Change
iStockphoto announces big changes on the royalty structure for the contributors – exclusive and non-exclusive – starting with 2011. The first impression is a general decrease in the average royalties for all the kind of “human” contributors. Announced also a new premium content collection: The Agency Collection. It will be a premium product priced above Vetta. It will include content from external agencies as well as selected iStock contributors.
Alamy has doubled the size of its collection in three years, with 20 million images now online and available to clients. The agency’s content spans cutting edge creative stock, editorial, news, sport and entertainment imagery, providing customers with an unrivalled encyclopedia of imagery to suit all projects.
Image Source has just introduced new web and mobile image sizes and prices: “more sizes, more flexibility online”, starting from €10.
Targets announced are blogs, mobile applications, web banners, avatars, thumbnails. Microstock and traditional stock convergence.
iStockphoto Relaunches Website with a Modern Look, Improved Navigation and Strong Focus on the Customer.
The new site offers a clean, contemporary look and feel, and reflects more than a year of customer-focused usability research and design. The new site was built using an innovative back-end architecture laying the framework for several future enhancements including a new search interface being unveiled before the end of the year.
