Strange progress of the microstock selling on July 2009, with the first two weeks very slow and then a peak in the last days. I publish an iSyndica screenshot to represent this behavior, without iStock – my 2nd month disappointed me – and Shutterstock (steady results).
Here my classic six months earning comparison chart
| agency | portf.size | RPI (*) | RPD (*) |
| dreamstime | 171 | 0,10 | 1,30 |
| shutterstock | 154 | 0,13 | 0,33 |
| fotolia | 198 | 0,22 | 1,12 |
| istockphoto | 54 | 0,08 | 2,28 |
| stockxpert | 206 | 0,03 | 0,31 |
| 123rf | 230 | 0,04 | 0,19 |
| bigstockphoto | 264 | 0,01 | 0,83 |
(*) RPI = return per image = “earnings in $” / “portfolio size”
RPD = revenue per download = “earnings in $” / “number of downloads”
